A Decline I Could Not Stop
“Over the next five years, my health spiraled: depression, anxiety, balance issues, brain fog, and incontinence.
I went from jogging regularly to barely able to walk.
My once steady stride had become a slow, unsteady shuffle. I had just retired—this was supposed to be my time to enjoy life. Instead, I found myself thinking, Really, God? After all these years of service, now this?
Doctor after doctor, test after test — no one had answers. I saw three different neurologists: two in Colorado Springs and one at Anschutz Research Hospital in Denver..
Each time, I heard the same frustrating words:’We don’t know what’s wrong, Come back in six months.’
The waiting and uncertainty were unbearable. Instead of improving, I declined.”
